2014 Fender Japan ST62/VSP/TN limited edition/shop order '62 Stratocaster reissue, produced in collaboration with Ikebe Music to celebrate their 40th anniversary. Ikebe worked with Fender Japan for 6 months to bring this model to life, based off of the highest spec catalog model (the ST62/VSP), including custom voiced pickups and a lacquer finish.

This is the rarest version of the ST62/VSP, and a great resonant example at 7.5lbs.

It is one of the only instruments produced by Fender Japan featuring a thermowood neck (thus the “TN” suffix). Thermo treatment heats wood in an oxygen-free environment, making it resistant to humidity changes and giving it a deep brown roasted color.

(Note: This model designation is synonymous with the ST62/VSP/IKB40TH. Fender Japan commonly stamped neck pockets with slight production variances.)

"JD14" serial prefix denotes 2014 manufacture. Original warranty card stamped with order number (DS-236) and sold date of May 31, 2015.

100% fully functional.

Set up with D'Addario 9-42 strings, playing well up and down the neck with proper intonation.

Includes original deluxe Fender Japan gig bag, vibrato arm, and warranty card.
