2012 Fender Japan TL69-SPL in Japanese Red Paisley (JRD) finish. One of the rarest production Telecasters, released in limited quantity to commemorate Fender Japan’s 30th anniversary. Each guitar was hand covered in carefully selected Japanese-patterned cloth.

100% fully functional.

Note: This example arrived with a damaged neck (sword/blade damage to fretboard and frets). It has been replaced with a model-correct neck from a FujiGen-era 1987 TL69 (tight neck pocket fit, aesthetically matches the wear of the body, and sports an idyllic slim oval 60’s neck profile). The original neck is included, and will be shipped separately.

Fresh setup with D'Addario 10-46 strings, playing well up and down the neck with proper intonation.

Includes Fender tweed case with red interior.

Condition

Cosmetically the 13 year old instrument is in good shape, with many dings, chips, scratches, and superficial finish wear commensurate with age. Chrome hardware has patina. Pickguard has pick scratches from play.

Replacement neck frets have wear, with minimal buzzing; no fretting out. The back of the neck has various dings/scratches. Finish chipping/wear, primarily along the treble side of the neck at the twelfth fret.
