2006 Fender TL52-110DMC '52 Telecaster DiMarzio Collection in Vintage Natural (VNT) finish. This example has been heavily played, and for good reason—it sounds fantastic, and is very resonant acoustically.

This model marked the first appearance and iteration of the TL52 Vintage Special (VSP) series, the highest catalog spec ’52 Telecaster reissue with a lacquer top finish—sold in various forms from 2006 until the dissolution of Fender Japan Ltd. in 2015. The "DMC" denotes factory DiMarzio DCT-1 Classical Vintage pickups. These models also have USA switches and CTS pots.

The TL52-110DMC first appeared in the catalog in 2006, became the TL52-120DMC in 2007, the TL52-DMC/VSP for 2008–2009, and finally the TL52/VSP for 2010–2014 (no longer featuring DiMarzio pickups). Each model change had a ~10% price increase.

100% original and fully functional.

Set up with 10-46 strings, playing up and down the neck with proper intonation.

Includes original Fender Japan "special" gig bag, and original plastic pickguard (pictured in last photo).

Condition

Cosmetically the 19 year old instrument is in good shape, though heavily played/gigged—with dings, scratches, chips and superficial finish wear commensurate with age. The lacquer finish has considerable wear. Burn mark on front of body. Considerable buckle rash on back of body, worn through the finish.

Frets have considerable wear beneath the unwound strings, but the guitar still plays well up and down the neck with no fretting out and minimal buzzing with normal action. It does affect bending in some areas. Back of neck has various minor dings, but nothing egregious. Wear through the lacquer finish on both the fretboard and back/sides of neck.
