1997-2000 Fender Japan JG66 Jaguar non-catalog order in Sherwood Green Metallic (SGM). Arguably the rarest Fender Japan finish ever produced—SGM was never offered in the catalog for any instrument. This is the sole example appearing for sale since production, to my knowledge.

The finish is difficult to photograph, being considerably darker and with more obvious metallic flakes compared to the post-2015 version.

Script "Crafted in Japan", "O" serial prefix, produced at the Dyna factory circa 1997–2000.

100% fully functional.

Set up with D'Addario 11-49 strings, playing well up and down the neck with proper intonation.

Includes USA G&G hard case, vibrato arm, original modded pickguard, and previously installed humbucker.

Condition

Cosmetically the 26+ year old instrument is in good shape, with various dings, chips, scratches and finish wear. Chrome hardware has patina. Finish wear and touch-up on headstock. Finish cracking around tuner bushings.

Frets have some wear, primarily beneath the unwound strings up to the twelfth fret. No abnormal buzzing/fretting out/etc. Back of neck has various minor dings.
