1996 Fender Japan TLR-135RK Ritchie Kotzen signature model in See-Through White Sunburst (SWS) finish—a non-catalog, first year example. The RK model was only offered in See-Through Foam Green (SFS) from 1996–2001, at which point Brown Sunburst (BS) became an option for an additional ¥10,000—along with the temporary discontinuation of his signature Stratocaster.
Other unique artist model features include factory DiMarzio pickups, FAT oval neck profile, super jumbo frets, and lightweight ash body with laminated quilted maple cap. Also the only production Telecaster featuring both a tummy cut and forearm contour, which is kind of crazy.
Note: For what it's worth, a hot take could be that the RK was actually offered in both SWS and SFS at launch, as the catalog caption states “The photo is a prototype. Scheduled release March 1996.”—with SWS being discontinued shortly thereafter (all SWS examples seem to be 1996 “Made in Japan” “N” serials)…but who the hell really knows.
100% fully functional.
Fresh setup with D'Addario 10-46 strings, playing well up and down the neck with proper intonation.
Includes Fender tweed case with red/orange interior.
