1991 Fender Japan TL72-63 order in Matte Brown (MBR) finish, with factory gold hardware. This example features a 2-piece center seam body, and dark rosewood fretboard.

A long time ago, the body was refinished with a thin lacquer—mimicking a '69 all-rosewood Telecaster (with side stripe).

Perfect natural wear and lacquer checking.

Manufactured at the FujiGen factory in Japan. Order number “K-071”. Pots dated 1991.

100% fully functional.

Set up with D'Addario 10-46 strings, playing well up and down the neck with proper intonation.

Includes 1990's Fender tweed hard case (which is a bit musty).

Condition

Cosmetically the 35+ year old instrument is in good shape, with numerous dings, chips, scratches, and finish wear commensurate with age. Lacquer body finish has considerable checking. Gold hardware has patina. Pickguard has pick markings from play.

Frets have some wear, primarily in the open chord area beneath the unwound strings. No fretting out issues. Back of neck has some minor dings/scratches, and has been worn gloss from play.
