1986 Fender Japan Order Made TL62B Telecaster in 3-tone sunburst (3TS).

An Andy Summers unofficial artist model featuring a bound body, factory neck humbucker, brass bridge, and mid 60's style neck (with two string trees, maple veneer fretboard and satin finish).

The only documented example for this order number and Summers-style specifications—a true rarity amongst the plethora of Keith Richards order made examples—as is the omission of a “Made in Japan” stamp at the neck heel.

Manufactured at the Fujigen factory in Japan. “E6” serial prefix; pots dated 1986. Order Made “#282”.

100% fully functional.

Set up with D'Addario 10-46 strings, playing well up and down the neck with proper intonation.

Includes original Fender Japan gig bag.

Condition

Cosmetically the 40+ year old instrument is in very good shape, with various minor dings, chips, scratches, and finish wear commensurate with age. Hardware has patina.

Frets have wear, primarily in the open chord area, up to around the 12th fret. Despite this, set up with low action, there is very minimal buzzing—no fretting out. Fretboard has various scratches, string indentation marks, and minor finish chips. Back of the neck has many various small dings, which are not distracting during play.

Modifications

- Top strap button moved; additional hole drilled
- Low “E” intonation screw & spring replaced (Fender Japan OEM)
- “D” and “G” saddle height screws replaced
